Blog Tour: The King of Little Things by Bill Lepp Illustrated by David T. Wenzel (BOOK REVIEW)

A long time ago in a world on the other side of a far mountain lived the much beloved King of the Little Things. His rule over all things small brought him much happiness and contentment.

But alas! Not all kings appreciate what they have. They always want more. Greedy King Normous wants the most and intends to be king of all the world. He gathers a vast army and conquers every kingdom, until he thinks he rules the entire world. When he learns that he has missed the King of Little Things, he sends his army to destroy the kingdom. After all, “Everyone knows that little things exist only to serve big things.” However, King Normous discovers his flawed thinking when little things band together to fight for their king.

Young readers will love Lepp's lively tale that naturally works in the moral of never overlooking the little things in life. Wenzehumor filled watercolor illustrations complete the endearing story. Lots of fun words and slant rhymes make The King of Little Things a great read aloud while the curious mind keeps busy in searching the pages for little things. Both parents and children will fall in love with the gentle King of Little Things over and over again.

              Rating: Highly Recommended *****

Blog Tour: Charlie Bumpers VS. Teacher of the Year by Bill Harley BOOK REVIEW & GIVEAWAY (Ends Aug. 30)

It can't get any worse for Charlie Bumpers after he learns he has Mrs. Burke fourth grade. So what if she was Teacher of the Year the previous school year. That doesn't mean Charlie can't be afraid of the the one teacher who threatened to take away his recess for the rest of his life. After all, he didn't mean to hit her in the head with his shoe.

No matter how hard he tries, Charlie winds up doing something stupid instead. And with every stupid mistake, he's convinced Mrs. Burke dislikes him even more. However, Charlie learns that there is more to Mrs. Burke than just being strict. In doing so, he gets a glimpse of himself as others see him.

Though predictable at times, young readers will have no problem relating to Charlie and will see the humor in Charlie's series of blunders. Will easily appeal to the elementary school boy.

Book Review: Agent Colt Shore Domino 29 by Axel Avian

I received an electronic copy of book at no charge from the publisher for review purposes. No monetary compensation was received. My opinions are not influenced by outside sources.

Fifteen year old Colt Shore doesn't feel like anything special. Especially when compared to his nearly perfect older brother, Dixon, who died when he was twenty-two. Yet, the fact the he attends attends a school for secret agents run by the F.A.L.C.O.N. organization, makes him special.

Colt receives a startling revelation that his deceased brother is really his father and the mother he never knew is Amber Coltrane, a highly regarded agent at his academy. After the bombshell about his parents, his agent status is activated with what turns out to be a dangerous and exciting mission.

His mission involves protecting Thorne and Talya Ellis, a brother and sister team of a pop band, following a kidnapping threat. The group is to perform in Afghanistan as part of a USO tour and Cole must follow them across the world. Just like a row of dominoes, one nail biting event crashes into another culminating into an exciting conclusion. Colt and Talya discover a sinister plot to enslave young women. Colt must race across continents, into the mountains of Bavaria, and risk becoming a rogue agent in an attempt to rescue the girls. High tech gadgets combine with non-stop action make Agent Colt Shore Domino 29  delivers as a thrilling spy adventure comparable to James Bond but without the adult violence. Teen boys are sure to find a new action hero in Colt Shore.
