From a tiger cub going in for a "quick snuggle" to an orangutan "group hug," the cuddly animals and their furry hugs steal show. With real life high resolution photos of adorable wildlife, it's hard not to fall in love.
However, like its companion book, I Love Kisses, the text lacks the pizazz the photos deserve. Facts, like how a penguins fluffy belly fur keeps their feet warm, help the new reader with wildlife discovery. While children know hugs are a way to show love they might not know that, "Japanese macaques keep warm by cuddling." Those looking for a good read aloud book may want to pass but I Love Hugs will appeal to visual learner.
